Know what's hiding inside the ECU.
Running badly, but showing no faults? Bought a vehicle, taken one in part exchange, or dealing with a vehicle that runs terribly but shows no faults when scanned? The ECU may have been altered.
Tuners can permanently disable Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in ECU software, so the ECU may be unable to warn you about that particular fault. Your ECU Check report can reveal:
- Previous remapping or calibration work
- DTCs disabled in the ECU software
- Emissions-control systems altered
- Other previous ECU modifications
